Physiotherapy is concerned with assessing, treating and preventing disorders of human movement. Physiotherapists work in areas such as paediatrics, exercise and sport, ergonomic and occupational health, accident and rehabilitation, illness and disease, women's health including preparation for pregnancy and birth and in geriatrics. Physiotherapists work as consultants to industry and government bodies and as academics and researchers.
